The Beth Israel Synagogue in Edmonton, Alberta was opened in 2000 and is the third building used by the traditionally modern orthodox congregation founded in 1906. Among the many personalities associated with the temple, its first Rabbi, Hyman Goldstick, many years later became a major of one of the cities in Alberta, Edson.
